Guinn has been successful across a variety of types of SME business development
and in offering support for entrepreneurs, especially in emerging markets with green initiatives, international development,
marketing, public relations, franchising and licensing, privatisation, and financial and operations turnarounds.
With over 35 years of business experience, he brings to the table a large
scope and variety of business disciplines.
His approach to business and problem solving is holistic, and has been
noted by some as being "over the top and out of the box." He embraces that assessment, and views that as simply
a positive spirit. He's results-focused and does not limit himself to tried-and-true methods.
"Assess challenges properly, act decisively, learn quickly.
If you're wrong, apologize and move on. Focus on what is important in your life, and in the lives of those around you...all
the time. Be friendly to everyone. Try something different--and new-- everyday."
In his over 35 years of experience, he's worked not only with individuals,
but with small retailers, SMEs, practicing Professional MDs and CPAs, and large multinational groups.
He's currently consulting on a variety of issues up to and including privatisation
of Government entities. For over 25 years, he's had full P&L responsibility.
He's currently Managing Director of The Guinn Consultancy Group, Inc; a
member of the development group Blue Moose Holdings, LLC, focusing on technology development; he serves as an advisor to companies throughout the world; he teaches MBA and PhD candidates online through Rushmore University and
is Dean of Graduate Studies at Rushmore; and he serves as a member of the Board of Visitors of the College of Arts
and Sciences at Tennessee Tech University and a member of the Advisory Board to the Alumni Association. His personal
involvement extends across all phases of a very successful, oversubscribed, non-dot.com IPO, from the S-1 filing to achieving
the strike price.
His first book, Psyched for Life, has been embraced for
its common-sense approach to problem solving. The book offers licensed IP content
worldwide; it has been accepted as a facilitation method by the International Association of Facilitators and quotes from the book regularly show up on human resources and self-help sites, worldwide.
Life offers a way to combine our life with decision-making rules, and focus truly impactful efforts on our lives
through our lifestyle integration,” says Guinn.
